The spicy potato-filled savory crepes are a Southern Indian fav of mine when dining out, but I just can’t make them at home. I’ve tried. So, when I saw dosas in the freezer section of the Indian grocery store, I grabbed a box. Just one, ‘cause I'm a little wary of frozen dosas.
These things are pretty good! Crispy on the edges after a quick ten minutes in the oven, and filled with spicy potatoes. Packets of coconut chutney even come with the four, hand-sized dosas. These dosas are not the three-foot long crepes of restaurants, but I don’t need three feet of anything in my belly – even though it has been proven to fit.

Pretty soon, my darling, you'll be able to email him that you're sitting in a 15th century castle and/or winery, drinking aged port wine and watching the sun set from the furthest most western point in all of Europe. So there! :-P
Jenn - You're right. And this dog sitting is going to pay for that trip!
Frozen dosas...good? I never would have imagined. But I'll take your word for it and keep an eye out around here. Though, luckily, I live a mile from an all-vegetarian southern Indian restaurant that serves delicious dosas. Mmm.
Lesley - Really! I've had worse on buffets. I'm still on a good Southern Indian restaurant quest around here, though.
A little dosa will cure what ails you.
if you're even in boston, there is a place not too far that has killer dosas. they're as big as your head. and it's all veg!
Tushar might say that you've committed "Dosa Sacrilege," but maybe not...
Bill - I don't know... He's the one that led me to the frozen food section.
